Friendships tend to work best when no one is keeping score. In my experience, having a good friend usually starts with being a good friend. Support, teach, learn, all the elements of family, friends also often share our passions and heighten enjoyment and awareness in ways that we could not reach alone. Those are the experiences that bond me to people, some who I’ve known since Junior High. Those moments I know someone has made me better are the ones that stay with me.
We are people, need each other. Thank God for populating my world with so many long time companions.
Pretty People and Beautiful Friends
I was bike riding by the lake this bright Saturday morning, navigating in my lane with hundreds of other Chicagoans going south and observing the many shapes and sizes of the hundreds traveling north.

Friendly Wager
I have a great friend named QT who was born in Vietnam, relocated to Oklahoma as a boy and retains a distinctive Okie accent that causes double takes regularly. He worked for me on several occasions and always did a great job. As much as I respect him, it did not preclude me from having some fun at his expense from time to time.
